Online load matching provider Tranzlink, Weston, Fla, announced a new version of its Tranzlink electronic marketplace.
New features include:
Single post/multiple post. Users can post shipments or equipment by city, state or zip code, along with the asking price and any special requirements. Listings can be modified or deleted as necessary. Users can post multiple loads/equipment at one time.
Private/general network. Members can set up a private network to allow an exclusive group of users to view and post loads and/or equipment, enabling them to build a community within Tranzlink.
Auto post/auto delete. With auto post, members can enter post criteria that will re-post everyday until the user removes it. Alternatively, members can choose auto delete if they want their loads to be de-listed automatically 24 hours after the post date.
Automatic load/equipment search. Members can automatically search for postings based on the criteria they entered when posting their equipment/shipments. A shipper that has posted a load from Pittsburgh to Dallas, for example, can check if any equipment matches its posting by clicking on "auto search" and "search date."
Post/Search by zip code. Users can post or search by zip code from an extensive database of more than 70,000 zip codes.
Search by map. Members can search postings by geographic area. All they have to do is simply click on a state and all the relevant postings will appear on the screen.
Auto match. Once a member posts a load or equipment, the system will search for a match every few minutes, and the member can opt to receive an e-mail alert when a match has been found. The system will continue to search for a match until the posting is modified or the alert is deleted.
Multiple User Accounts. The original signer or the administrator can add multiple users at the same location under their account at no extra charge. Multiple users may sign up under one membership and still have control over their own postings.
Any carrier, broker or shipper can post free of charge on Tranzlink's site. Membership costs $14.95 per month for brokers and shippers. Carriers get an essential membership for free.
