Transport Capital Partners recently assisted in the sale of North American Van Lines’ flatbed business – which is owned by SIRVA Inc. – to Gainey Transportation Services of Grand Rapids,
Mich., a privately held company.
The flatbed business, located in Fort Wayne, Ind., transports medical, telecommunications and other high-technology equipment for shippers requiring precision logistics.
This is the second sale of a SIRVA business by Transport Capitol Partners in the past three months. Transport Capital aided in the sale of these businesses, which further strengthens SIRVA’s focus of its resources on becoming the world’s leading provider of relocation services.
Gainey plans to keep the business operating out of Fort Wayne and substantially grow its market share in this specialized flatbed niche. Gainey purchased the Blanket Wrap business from SIRVA this past May. Gainey and NAVL are both large and premier carriers.
Transport Capital Partners is the leader in transportation mergers, acquisitions, capital sourcing and consulting. Transport Capital Partners has regional offices in Arkansas, Florida, Iowa, Mississippi, Pennsylvania, Tennessee and Virginia.
