Transplace announced a university program to launch at the logistics provider's ninth annual Shipper Symposium in Dallas, 10-12.
The program will allow logistics, transportation and supply chain students from schools including University of Arkansas, Southern Methodist University, University of Texas and University of North Texas to learn from industry experts, leading practitioners, analysts and academics. It also will help students network for future opportunities.
The 2011 Shipper Symposium will continue its mission of focusing on economic challenges affecting shippers across the globe. This year's event will feature BP Capital Management founder and chairman T. Boone Pickens; Pro Football Hall of Famer and successful business leader, Roger Staubach; Sunny Delight Beverages Company president and CEO Billy Cyr, and logistics expert and Transplace president and CEO Tom Sanderson.
