Transplace, a provider of transportation management services and logistics technology, announced the promotion of Frank McGuigan to executive vice president, operations.
McGuigan joined Transplace via its acquisition of SCO Logistics in April 2011, where he was president and CEO. Most recently, McGuigan was senior vice president of contract logistics for Transplace.
McGuigan brings more than 20 years of logistics experience in executive leadership, sales and operations to Transplace. His career achievements have been focused on the development and implementation of value-based logistics solutions across the supply chain for Fortune 500 companies.
He currently has profit and loss responsibility for all of Transplace's third party logistics and software as a service customer relationships.
In 2006, McGuigan joined SCO Logistics as executive vice president of sales & marketing and was quickly promoted to president.
Prior to SCO Logistics, he was the commercial leader for three divisions of Penske Logistics.
McGuigan has also held leadership roles at Matlack Inc. and Kerr-Norton Steamship Agency.
