Transplace Inc., Plano, Texas, announced that the first half of 2004 has been marked by a number of accomplishments.
According to the Transplace announcement, the company has a new president, executive vice president of sales & marketing, and chief technology officer; a number of new customer engagements; two industry awards; and excellent attendance at its second annual Shipper Symposium in May.
The announcement came on the occasion of Transplace’s fourth anniversary. Transplace was launched through the merger of the existing logistics business units of Covenant Transport Inc., J.B. Hunt Transport Services Inc., M.S. Carriers Inc., Swift Transportation Co. Inc., U.S. Xpress Enterprises Inc., and Werner Enterprises on July 1, 2000.
The company offers logistics and transportation management services -- many of them web-based.
