OrderProLogistics Inc., Tucson, Ariz., announced that its subsidiary, TransMex Logistics, has launched its Passport Plus program to provide intense scrutiny and screening of shipments to and from Mexico.
TransMex Logistics teamed with Union Pacific Railroad and Union Pacific Carrier Services on the project. Passport Plus includes billing and documentation all the way through to delivery at final destination. TransMex will work directly with Union Pacific Carrier Services to offer the new service.
TransMex will be responsible for reviewing bill of lading and all shipping documents to verify accuracy, monitor transportation and customs events and resolve issues before they cause transit delays.
Donna Ascencio, vice president of Sales & Marketing for TransMex, said "Initially Passport Plus will be offered as a local Union Pacific Railroad trailer service but will be expanded to include other rail-controlled equipment -- as well as joint service with connecting carriers throughout North America -- in the near future."
