Transcraft recently celebrated the production of its 100,000th platform trailer with an open house at its Anna, Ill., facility.
Open house guests saw the 100,000th trailer, a Transcraft TL-2000H 45-foot x 102-inch tandem slider, with Michelin X One tires and a Moffett forklift kit on the rear of the trailer, which was purchased by Pavestone Co. through DFW Truck and Trailer Sales out of Ft. Worth, Texas.
Additional open house activities included a barbecue lunch, and a ceremony honoring 53 long-time Transcraft employees with 10 years of service or more. Transcraft’s founder and original owner, William R. Cunningham, and the company’s first employee were on hand for the celebration. Guests also had the opportunity to meet executives from Wabash National, Transcraft’s new parent company.
Transcraft has been producing flatbed and drop deck trailers for nearly 45 years. Transcraft has a complete line of flatbed and drop deck trailers produced in two manufacturing facilities: Anna, Ill. and Mt. Sterling, Ky. The two locations combined employ more than 375 people.
Established in 1962, Transcraft manufactures nine flatbed trailer models, including the Transcraft Eagle flatbed and three drop deck trailer models.
