TransAm Trucking Chooses Expert Fuel Software from IDSC
TransAm Trucking Inc., a Kansas-based truckload carrier serving the United States, has licensed Expert Fuel transportation optimization software from Integrated Decision Support Corp. (IDSC) to optimize driver fuel and route plans and to significantly decrease fuel cost

"We chose IDSC's optimization software because it easily integrates with our existing technologies and it proved to be a powerful fuel management system," said Murray Droescher, CFO of TransAm Trucking. "We were pleased with the facilitation of installation and are seeing very positive results."
Expert Fuel is designed to minimize fuel costs by providing an optimal fuel and route plan at the time of dispatch. By taking advantage of the constant variation of fuel price by geographic location and between fuel networks, Expert Fuel creates fuel savings by determining the appropriate fuel locations to utilize and the corresponding amount of fuel to be purchased at each. Expert Fuel currently saves existing customers between 4 and 11 cents per gallon, per truck.
"Our software is engineered to accelerate profitability while meeting customer demands," said Patrick Russell, area sales manager at IDSC. "We are pleased to work with TransAm Trucking and are eager to support their business goals."
IDSC celebrates more than 25 years as a provider of decision support software for the truckload carrier, serving customers representing over 80,000 power units and the "Top 100" carrier market. IDSC is recognized for developing innovative software technologies that include the first power-to-load match optimization introduced in 1978 and the first fuel optimization program introduced in 1994.
