Tom Brown, president of Brown NationaLease in Des Moines, Iowa, was unanimously chosen by the members of the Truck Renting and Leasing Association as 2012-2013 chairman
at the association's 34nd Annual Meeting held March 12-15 in Dana Point, Calif. This year's meeting had the biggest attendance in recent history.
"Over the coming year I look forward to continuing to work with the TRALA leadership and staff to help keep this association running smoothly," said Brown during his acceptance speech on March 15. "I will continue to insure that the core mission of TRALA - government advocacy - remains the focus of the organization."
In addition to Brown, the TRALA board of directors appointed the following members as officers:
* Steve Lawrence, chief executive officer of Lawrence Leasing, Red Wing, Minnesota, was elected vice chairman.
* Scott Anderson, senior vice president of Rush Enterprises, New Braunfels, Texas, was elected secretary.
* Kevin Coughlin, manager of leasing products for Daimler Trucks North America, Portland, Oregon, was elected treasurer.
* Terence Dubowick, national account manager of Mack Leasing/Volvo Truck Leasing System, Rural Hall, North Carolina, was elected immediate past chairman.
