Trailiner Upgrades to MobileMax by GeoLogic Solutions
GeoLogic Solutions, a provider of multi-mode mobile communications and tracking systems, said Trailiner Corp. of Springfield, Mo., will be equipping its fleet of 300 tractors with GeoLogic’s MobileMax Multi-Mode solution
GeoLogic Solutions, a provider of multi-mode mobile communications and tracking systems, said Trailiner Corp. of Springfield, Mo., will be equipping its fleet of 300 tractors with GeoLogic’s MobileMax Multi-Mode solution.
A 48-state refrigerated carrier, Trailiner management has firm beliefs about the benefits of mobile communications systems. “Tracking and mobile communications capabilities are a cost of doing business,” said Larry Beets, vice president of operations for Trailiner. “Our customers require us to track trucks and communicate with drivers. The dual-mode communications in the MobileMax system provides our fleet with complete access and allows us to meet our customers needs reliably and at a favorable cost.”
“While we looked at other options to satisfy our curiosity, there was little reason to think we’d upgrade to anything but the new MobileMax system. The return on investment is in the usage charges, and with GeoLogic those costs are much lower than any other system we evaluated.”
Beets said installation of the MobileMax units at Trailiner is handled in-house by company technicians trained by GeoLogic in a one-day session. Driver training needs are minor as well, and dispatchers were also trained quickly once the system was integrated with the fleet’s dispatch software.
Based in Herndon, Va., GeoLogic Solutions is a Platinum Equity company that provides the commercial trucking industry with wireless asset management solutions that reduce operational costs while increasing overall efficiency.
MobileMax, the leading mobile communications and tracking system to utilize both terrestrial and satellite-based networks and TrailerMax, the company’s untethered trailer tracking and asset management system, are installed on nearly 50,000 commercial trucks and trailers.
