TMW Systems of Beachwood, Ohio, a trucking software company, has introduced an interface for the mobile communications system made by Terion Inc. of Melbourne, Fla. That brings to five the announced number of trucking software vendors now interfacing with Terion.
TMW Systems provides operations management software, including TL2000 for the AS/400 platform and PowerSuite for Windows. Terion offers coast-to-coast mobile communications based on radio technology without the use of satellites or cellular networks.
The TMW interface works through the PowerSuite communication and the TL2000 dispatch systems. Messages are routed to Terion's network operations center then downloaded into the trucking company's TMW dispatch system.
Other software companies that interface with Terion are Tom McLeod Software of Tom McLeod Software of Birmingham, Ala.; Innovative Computer Corp. of Oklahoma City, Okla.; Melton Technologies of Winston-Salem, N.C., and Truckmaster Logistics Systems of Jerome, Idaho.
According to Terion, the company is in conversations with other software providers.
