The membership of the Transportation Marketing & Communications Assn. (TMCA) has elected five new members to its board of directors for two-year terms.

In addition, Bruce Winslow, manager of public relations and advertising for Union Tank Car Co., has been elected as the association's new vice president during 2003-04, to eventually succeed as president during 2004-05.
Additional officers for 2003-04 are Ray Venturino, assistant vice president of P&O Nedlloyd, as the association's president; Denny Grim of Business To Business Communications, as treasurer; and Dave Doherty, vice president of marketing for AGAPE Marketing Solutions, as secretary.
The TMCA membership ratified the nominated slate in late May via electronic vote. Newly elected members to the board of directors include George Abernathy, senior vice president of NTE; Clayton Boyce, publisher and editor-in-chief of Traffic World magazine; Tonya Maxey, vice president of advertising and promotion for FedEx Freight East Inc.; Thomas "Woody" Mosgers, marketing and special projects administrator for Chicago's Regional Transportation Authority; and Tom Nightingale, vice president of corporate marketing for Schneider National Inc. Existing board members who will be completing their second term are Cyndi Darlington, senior director of sales and marketing for Amtrak; Carol Eidson, national sales director of World Trade magazine; John Ferguson, director of sales and marketing for PBB Global Logistics; Joseph Leppert III, formerly group vice president of Union Pacific Railroad; and Edward Moritz, vice president of marketing for Con-Way Transportation Services.
The TMCA provides professional development, education and networking opportunities to marketing and communications professionals in the North American freight transportation and passenger transit markets.
