The automotive and heavy duty aftermarket teams at The Timken Company have launched a new online site for professional technicians and do-it-yourself installers.
The website site provides a central destination for industry and technical information and collaboration.
"We're introducing Timken's Connect Community as a place where automotive professionals and do-it-yourselfers can pose questions to one another, as well as to Timken's technical and product teams," said Barry Harris, marketing manager for the automotive and heavy-duty aftermarket for Timken. "We want it to be the place where auto enthusiasts exchange information about all things related to the automotive and heavy truck aftermarket."
The web site will feature discussion boards focused on automotive maintenance, heavy-duty maintenance and racing. There will be blogs featuring regular posts by members of the Timken aftermarket team, certified ASE technicians, and other members of the industry. In addition, the site will feature technical resources including a technical and video library with how-to content to assist visitors.
"Our core focus has always been on earning customer trust by providing quality parts and the technical know-how to do the job right the first time," stated Tom Tecklenburg, director of the automotive and heavy-duty aftermarket for Timken. "We continue to make connections with end-users by being a resource to them beyond the point of purchase, because the knowledge shared benefits everyone."
