TIA Announces 2005 Automotive Tire Service and Commercial Tire Service Certified Instructor Programs
The Tire Industry Assn. has announced its winter/spring dates for the Automotive Tire Service and Commercial Tire Service Certified Instructor Programs

The instructor programs certify individuals to conduct certified technician courses for their employees.
Certified Automotive Tire Service combines in-depth classroom instruction with comprehensive hands-on education. Students who successfully complete the instructor program are prepared to conduct in-house Certified ATS Technician or Instructor classes. The Certified ATS Instructor Program is separated into two different classes: three-day and four-day.
The three-day course certifies individuals as certified ATS instructors, allowing them to certify technicians in the field. The four-day course certifies individuals as certified ATS advanced instructors, qualifying them to certify technicians and/or other instructors in the field.
TIA's Commericial Tire Service Program has educated more than 14,000 technicians and instructors throughout North America since its inception in 1997.
The program combines classroom instruction with hands-on learning and meets the requirements laid out by OSHA Standard 29 CFR 1910.177. Students who successfully complete the Commercial Tire Service Instructor Program are qualified to certify technicians in the field. The certified instructor program is separated into two different classes: three-day and four-day. The three-day class is for individuals with more than two years experience in commercial truck tires; the four-day class has an additional day of hands-on training for those who with less than two years of experience.
