With a new CD entitled "Trick My Truck," released March 2, Joey Holiday has also tricked out his mobile stage for his 2007 tour.

For several years, the focal point of his traveling stage has been an orange slide-out REO cab, which concealed some speakers and electronics. It was a tribute to the trucking music legends that preceded him, such as Red Sovine and Red Simpson.
The new stage features a futuristic slide-out truck cab designed and built by Truck-Rodz at Jones Performance Products Inc. The new look taps into the album's title as well as the popular CMT TV show. It also recognizes that sleek aero-styled rigs are here to stay.
At the same time, the rig has classic, even vintage notes - the broad, bold grille, the hooked headlight holders, the decidedly squared off look that affords plenty of places to hang bright metal.
Looking back and forward at the same time, Holiday appropriate calls this year's tour the "Keeping Trucking Music Alive Tour." Holiday is accompanied on the road and on stage this time by one of his oldest friends, guitarist Jeff Harrison, who will accompany Holiday as well as perform tunes from his own new album, "Lucky Stars." Harrison also sings on the "Trick My Truck" album.
In May, Holiday and his wife, Vicki, held their Tennessee Truck Show at the Tennessee State Fairgrounds in Nashville, Tenn. Now in its fourth year, the show is the Holiday's way of giving back to the people who have given them a life.
"We wanted drivers to have free food, free parking, free prizes - basically a large-size Driver Appreciation Day with free entertainment by Joey Holiday and Red Simpson," said Vicki Holiday. "Joey's biggest future goal would be to see Trucking Music acknowledged again at the CMAs or in any music awards genre. It seems to have simply disappeared. He wants to put it back there."
