Terion’s FleetView Adds Hours-Of-Service Module
Terion Inc., Plano, Texas, has introduced a new module for its FleetView trailer-tracking system. The Terion Hours of Service Module provides trailer location information as well as load/unload status gained from the patented Terion Cargo Sensor

The module displays the time a trailer is either at the customer's location being unloaded, or in the case of a live load, the amount of time being loaded.
The module summarizes information to highlight only trailers that have exceeded a user-defined time period at the dock, allowing the carrier to follow up on the specific issue and/or implement a detention charge. The module is intended to measure and ultimate reduce the time a driver spends waiting for a trailer to be loaded or unloaded.
FleetView already helps carriers maximize productivity and utilization by identifying idle trailers, reducing the time spent looking for trailers, optimizing trailer pools, and minimizing mis-directs.
"We are pleased to provide a solution that gives the carrier a more financially appealing option to simply buying more trailers and hiring more drivers to address the hours of service legislation," sajd Ken Cranston, president and CEO of Terion.
