TCA To Hold Independent Contractor Meeting In Chicago

The Truckload Carriers Assn. will hold its sixth annual Independent Contractor Division meeting Sept. 20-21 in Chicago.
The meeting, chaired by Tom Kretsinger Sr., president of American Central Transport, will bring together carriers that use independent contractors. Topics to be discussed include opportunities for TCA and the Owner-Operator Independent Drivers Assn. to work together; keeping independent contractors healthy businesspeople; the forecast for independent contractors; the legalities of working with independent contractors; and health insurance issues.
The program is designed to minimize time away from the office by allowing many attendees to fly in the day of the program and return home the next day. The program will begin at noon on Sept. 20 and conclude at noon the following day.
