TCA Refrigerated Meeting Set For July

The Truckload Carriers Assn.'s 17th annual Refrigerated Division meeting will be held July 12-14 in the Canadian Rockies of Banff, Alberta, at the Banff Centre for Conferences.
Some 300 refrigerated trucking executives will gather to participate in the meeting, which will focus on the theme of "Traversing the Peaks and Valleys of Refrigerated Trucking."
"Temperature-controlled trucking is going through a transformation as fuel costs remain high and margins remain low," says Marty Geffon, chairman. "This will be a year that will likely change this industry segment for the foreseeable future."
The program will feature two general sessions and a variety of roundtable discussions.
The first general session will focus on the state of the industry and what models can be used to improve a company'' bottom line. As part of this session, TCA's "Just in Time … To Wait" panel will present Phase II of its push to reduce time at the docks.
The second general session will discuss how to lead your company during turbulent times. As part of this session, a panel of technology companies will explroe ways to improve productivity with new technology. TCA chairman Bob Hansen will also update attendees on the status of the proposed hours of service rules.
