TCA Nominating Committee Soliciting Names For Panels
Members of the Truckload Carriers Assn.'s nominating committee are starting to evaluate candidates who wish to serve as members of the TCA board of directors.
Members of the Truckload Carriers Assn.'s nominating committee are starting to evaluate candidates who wish to serve as members of the TCA board of directors.
The committee also makes recommendations on candidates for officers and the executive committee. Votes for all leadership positions will be cast by the general membership when they meet at TCA's annual meeting on Sunday, March 9, 2003, at the all-new Gaylord Palms Resort, Orlando, Fla.
TCA members who are not presently serving on the board of directors are invited to express their interest in serving on the TCA board. Those elected to the board serve one-year appointments, and are generally eligible for renomination. TCA strives to maintain an active and involved board, and to serve this goal, the association's bylaws provide that board members must attend at least one of the last three board meetings in order to be eligible for renomination to the board.
Members are urged to fill out ballots, which were faxed earlier this month. Return ballots by fax to (703) 836-6610, or mail them to the TCA offices at 2200 Mill Road, Alexandria, VA 22314.
