Robert Hansen, 2000-2001 chairman of the Truckload Carriers Assn., will be the keynote speaker at McLeod Software's user's conference, Sept. 20-23 in Birmingham, Ala.
Hansen, who is president of Gail Force, an air charter company in Janesville, Wis., will speak during the opening session on Sept. 21.
McLeod Software President Tom McLeod praised Hansen's "dedication, knowledge and commitment to truckload carriers." Hansen has more than 35 years of experience in the trucking industry, beginning his career as an owner-operator for North American Van Lines in 1964.
The conference will be held in a bigger venue this year, at the Sheraton Birmingham hotel and convention center. This will offer more space for exhibits at the tradeshow that is held in conjunction with the conference. Sessions will cover training in McLeod software, as well as current industry issues, driver recruitment and retention, DOT regulations, fuel hedging and an Internet roundtable.
