The Truckload Carriers Assn. (TCA) will host its latest audio conference, "Fighting Back Against Cargo Crime and Winning," from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. EST on Feb. 5.
With deductibles rising in recent years and cargo insurers denying coverage to more and more losses, trucking companies are more vulnerable to cargo theft than ever before. Carriers must ensure their policies fit their operations and take more aggressive steps to minimize the opportunity for thieves.
The challenge for trucking companies is to build security into their operations, within their budget and time constraints. The goal of this audio conference is to provide carriers with the tools that will allow them to fight back against cargo crime and win.
The audio conference will feature Gail Toth, executive director of the New Jersey Motor Truck Assn; Jeff Davis, vice president of safety for Motor Transport Underwriters Inc., Indianapolis; Randy Cornell, vice president of safety for Contract Freighters Inc. Joplin, Mo.; and Lt. William Shiver Jr., Florida Highway Patrol/Cargo Theft Team, Lakeland, Fla.
This expert panel will address how to protect drivers, trucks and loads; conditions that lead to theft; and the importance of law enforcement and insurance company relationships.
To register for this audio conference, visit www.truckload.org/events/audioconferences.htm, or call TCA at (703) 838-1950.
