The deadline for entries to AMG's first transportation industry talent search event is March 1, with the new artists performing at the Mid-America Truck Show (MATS) in Louisville, Ky. three weeks later.
Called "Stars of the Road," the event is sponsored by AmeriSearch Music Group Inc/Gear Jammer Records.
AMG's web site, at www.gearjammerrecords.com, has the latest updates featuring the 30-plus talent entries that have been received so far for MATS. Organizers anticipate 50 entries will be registered by the March 1 deadline. Five talented hopefuls from this event will make the compilation cut and be on the road to fame by March 22, the last day of the truck show. The sponsors who are in support of the Stars of the Road Talent Search will be major players in making dreams come true for those hopefuls chosen for AMG's A&R compilation projects.
"We are extremely fired up about the rollout of our dream of merging the music and transportation industries as an unstoppable force," said Marge Bailey, co-founder of the parent company, AMG. "We knew this venture was a risk, as all music projects are, but we never dreamed of the enormous positive response we are experiencing."
Following MATS, the next Stars of the Road Talent Search events will be the Waupun Truckers Jamboree, in Wisconsin in August and the Great American Truck Show in Dallas, Texas, slated for September.
Entries received too late for entry at the MATS event will be invited to the Waupun or the GATS truck show.
The deadline for corporate sponsors is March 15 for the MATS live event and/or to be included for the resulting compilation. AMG is also accepting sponsorships for Waupun and GATS 2003 events.
