Tailwind Management Systems Inc. has introduced an Electronic Manifesting Solution for its trucking company clients.

The United States Customs (CBP) has been testing a new program for the electronic transmission of manifest data to all U.S. Customs border-crossing offices for truck shipments that are inbound to the United States. U.S. Customs officials have said the A.C.E. E-Manifesting program will soon become mandatory.
By way of living up to its commitment to keeping ahead of the competition and helping their clients reduce costs, Tailwind has partnered with Oceanwide Inc. to provide a viable E- Manifest solution for truckers.
Tailwind's Carrier Management System will link with Oceanwide's proven E-Manifest technology. This will enable Tailwind clients to be approved quickly for the United States E-Manifest. Tailwind clients will save time by entering E-Manifest data once only into Tailwind's user friendly Carrier Management System. Oceanwide's software will edit the manifest data and then automatically transmit it to U.S. Customs.
Keith Retallack, business manager with Tailwind Management Systems Inc., said, "We feel truckers will begin to embrace E-Manifest once they understand that E-Manifest will reduce paperwork and costly delays at the border awaiting customs clearance."
Tailwind has selected Oceanwide as a partner because of its experience and ability to provide market leading, low-cost, quality E-Manifest solutions. Oceanwide has years of experience in providing automated Air and Ocean E-Manifests for the transportation industry. Their Truck E-Manifest system has been approved by U.S. Customs, and it has been successfully field tested by trans-border trucking companies. Retallack adds, "We are glad to include Oceanwide in our quality list of best of breed automation partners."
