Petro-Canada’s Duron XL Synthetic Blend 10W-40 is the first 10W-40-grade heavy duty engine oil to achieve Mack Trucks’ EO-N Premium Plus specification.

It is formulated for operators requiring a heavy duty engine oil with excellent low-temperature capabilities that can meet the latest low-emission engine requirements.

The Mack EO-N Premium Plus specification is required for the Mack ASET family of engines, which utilize exhaust gas recirculation (EGR), and is also highly recommended for all other Mack engine models, regardless of vintage. To achieve this specification, a HDEO needs to perform at an acceptable level in the new Mack T-11 test with six per cent soot load, demonstrate used oil pumpability at high soot load and pass a severe shear stability test.
Duron XL Synthetic Blend 10W-40 is formulated from the patented HT purity process Petro-Canada uses to produce 99.9% pure, crystal-clear base oils. By removing the impurities that hinder competitive engine oil performance, Duron XL Synthetic Blend retains its "fresh oil" properties longer. Petro-Canada blends in specialty additives for even longer fluid life and greater equipment protection from abrasive soot particles.
