Stonier Transportation Group, Jacksonville, Fla., is accustomed to handling unusual shipments for its customers. One of the most distinctive occurred recently when it moved a Western stagecoach replica from Florida to Wyoming.

After being loaded at Sightline Studios in Starke, Fla., the 35,000-pound museum piece traveled by truck 1,853 miles before being delivered to the National Historic Trails Interpretive Center in Casper, Wyo., five days later.
“Shipments like this require additional packing and care to ensure they reach their destination in the same condition as they were loaded,” said Kip Douglass, operations manager, Stonier Transportation Group. “If it got damaged, it would be difficult to repair or replace. We ship a number of loads like this for Sightline because they know what to expect from us.”
