Pegasus TransTech, Tampa, Fla., announced that Stevens Transport has implemented TRANSFLO Express truck stop scanning service.

The implementation expands an existing partnership between the companies.
According to Pegasus TransTech, its TRANSFLO imaging and workflow solution has helped the refrigerated carrier grow steadily without adding back-office personnel.
Stevens added TRANSFLO Express truck stop scanning in September, and after a smooth implementation, the company has realized key benefits--particularly for drivers, who have their trip documents scanned at the truck stop and then keep the originals. Kathy Whitaker, accounting manager for Stevens, said TRANSFLO Express has already saved drivers a full day on their payroll cycle. It's also reduced payroll-related disputes.
Whitaker said Stevens has the same size back office staff as it did five years ago, when it first implemented TRANSFLO imaging and workflow.
"We've grown 8 to 12 percent each year since 2000. Running lean is very important to us," Whitaker said.
