Sterling Truck Corp. has received the highest overall ranking for Heavy-Duty Truck Dealer Service in the J.D. Power and Associates Heavy Duty Truck Customer Satisfaction
Study.
Sterling was the highest scoring brand for both the dealer facility and service price factors. Sterling was among the highest rated brands on many of the key components in these factors, including the availability of spare parts for service, hours and days the service department is open, the appearance of the facility, and the price of labor and the price of parts.
"With our expansive network of dealerships and an army of work truck experts, dealer service has always been a priority for us, so we're certainly pleased to be recognized for it," said Ann Demitruk, director of marketing for Sterling Truck Corporation. "With interest in the brand at an all-time high, and several new Sterling products hitting the market, 2007 has been an amazing year for us."
The results from the 2007 Heavy Duty Customer Satisfaction Study were based on interviews with 2,677 customers of two-year-old Class 8 vehicles. Of the customers interviewed, the average fleet size was 47 trucks, and 49 percent of those fleets have 10 vehicles or less.
For heavy-duty applications, Sterling offers the Set-Back A-Line, Set-Back L-Line, and Set-Forward L-Line conventional models. Ideal for over-the-road, specialized hauling, distribution and LTL, the dependable Set-Back A-Line offers a roomy cab, superb visibility and great ride and handling. The Set-Back L-Line is the rugged choice for a wide array of vocational applications, including construction, utility, towing and more. The maneuverable Set-Forward L-Line is ready to take on several construction, government and municipal jobs like dump, mixer, and utility applications
