Stemco will acquire Carlisle's Motion Control division, which supplies brake friction to the heavy duty truck market as well as new and remanufactured brake shoes under the Altec brand name.


Carlisle's Motion Control products will broaden Stemco's existing portfolio of wheel end products, increase the company's size and expand its reach in the commercial vehicle market.

In a letter to distributors, Stemco President Jon Cox said, "We believe that the Stemco sales and manufacturing models will bring added value to the Motion Control business and to you, our distribution partner."
