Speedco Inc. the on-highway truck lube and tire service provider, is opening its new Beaverdam, Ohio, location this week. The Beaverdam Speedco will be open from 7 a.m., Thursday until 11 p.m., Friday,
for the grand opening celebration.
The new Speedco is located off I-75, Exit 135 in Beaverdam, Ohio. To date, Speedco has 40 locations nationwide.
“We are expanding our network across the nation to increase driver convenience.” Mark Clark, chief executive officer and president, commented about the new location. “With our aggressive build schedule, we plan to have 52 locations open by the end of 2006.”
The Grand Opening will feature food, refreshments and service specials. The Open Road on XM Satellite Radio will be doing a live broadcast from 12 – 5 a.m., Friday. The new Speedco Chopper, built by the Orange County Choppers, will also be on display in its custom-built trailer.
Speedco has added tires and tire service to its list of offerings in a number of locations, with the goal of offering tires at all of its stores in the next two years. The company is headquartered in Cayuga, Ind.; Bandag, the nation’s largest maker of tire retreads, owns a majority interest in the company. Speedco provides professional drivers and truck fleets service in about 30 minutes.
