to optimize routing for its home heating oil delivery fleet serving Maryland’s Charles, Calvert, St. Mary, Anne Arundel and Prince George Counties.
According to an announcement from GeoCom, initial estimates call for a savings of 12 percent on Carroll delivery costs. The TMS routing engine will optimize the sequence of the stops, considering such factors as locations of bridges, turn restrictions, dead-end roads, medians, truck routes, and other road constraints.
GeoCom TMS is a transportation technology company with sales offices in Atlanta and research facilities in Quebec City, Quebec, Canada.
