Sold15 to Focus On Efficient Shop Management
The Sold15 (Service Opportunities Learning Days) conference will open with a workshop led by an internationally recognized expert in shop maintenance and efficiency, conference organizers have announced.
The 2015 event, Jan. 25-26 at the Mirage Resort and Casino in Las Vegas, will open with Robert Greenwood's "Elevating Service Excellence" and "How Productivity Mathematics Measures Service Results." Greenwood will discuss five building blocks for an effective heavy-duty shop, including vision, ability, motivation, resources, and an action plan.
Greenwood will also cover business procedures and formulas that focus on net income development and competitive pricing for profit. Attendees will learn how to calculate shop efficiency. Other topics to be discussed include wages, staff attributes, internal service accountability, building a client-structured shop and key attributes for successful shop management.
The event will also include a session by Leo Thomason, co-founder and executive director of the Natural Gas Vehicle Institute. Tom Smego, director of Canadian and U.S. aftermarket sales for SKF Industries, will moderate a panel covering original equipment manufacturers versus aftermarket that will include executives from Hendrickson International, Hutch Industries, Reyco/Granning, and SAF Holland/Neway on the OEM side and ATRO, Automann, Dayton and Triangle on the aftermarket side.
