SkyBitz Unveils New "Insight" Products and Services
Trailer-tracking service provider SkyBitz, Dulles, Va., has launched an expanded product line, InSight, to track the location and status of a company's assets

The product line includes InSight Tracking, InSight Security and InSight Cargo. SkyBitz’s Global Location Systems (GLS) technology pinpoints the exact location of every trailer in a fleet and the status of its cargo.
With the SkyBitz’s InSight Tracking, companies have access to trailer tracking and information management services via satellite throughout North America.
Fleet managers have access to the location and status of every trailer within a fleet; they can perform basic scheduled reporting and wakeup, page trailers when necessary and put a trailer into panic mode so it can be monitored every three minutes for as long as needed. The InSight Security builds on the InSight Tracking solution by alerting fleet managers if an unauthorized opening or tampering of a trailer occurs.
With the addition of the Door Sensor and the optional Trailer Tether Sensor managers can be alerted to a change in sensor status via email and view the message on a desktop computer, pager, PDA or cell phone.
The third solution, InSight Cargo, can determine whether a trailer is empty or loaded, maximizing trailer utilization, improving tractor to trailer ratios and managing trailer detention. The optional Door Sensor enables companies to monitor door activity.
SkyBitz has launched a redesigned customer InSight Web application. The application enables customers to access their fleet's vital information at all times in a personalized, straightforward and comprehensive format. Through the SkyBitz InSight web application, customers can use new features such as Address Lookup, which gives customers the exact address of a trailer, Dwell Time that reports how long trailers have been idle and a Sensor Notification feature that allows customers to determine how they want to be alerted once a sensor event occurs.
