SkyBitz Inc., Dulles, Va., has added new functionality to its trailer-tracking solution.
A new Reporting Profile feature allows fleets to remotely alter reporting schedules
and set the number of times per day a trailer will transmit its position.
Changes can be implemented through the SkyBitz InSight web site. As an example, SkyBitz said customers may want to increase reporting schedules when units are passing through high-crime areas.
“The needs of our fleet changes daily with different customer requirements,” said Scott McLaughlin, president, Stagecoach Cartage & Distribution L.P. “SkyBitz’s new Reporting Profile feature gives us the flexibility to manage our customers’ loads and react quickly to situations from anywhere, at anytime giving us a leg up on our competition.”
