Skybitz Inc., Dulles, Va., has introduced the InSight Engine Hours Meter that monitors engine use for maintenance purposes

, tracks engine hours and locates assets at all times through the SkyBitz Customer web site.
The InSight Engine Hours Meter measures both engine and external power changes. This enables owners to identify their equipment’s location on demand and administer maintenance management systems. In addition to monitoring activity beyond rental hours, the InSight Engine Hours Meter lets owners track engine use when the equipment is on and charge customers for the amount of time it is in use. This function eliminates costly trips to the field to manually track engine hour use and provides precise and time usage statistics to customers.
Last month, SkyBitz signed its first agricultural equipment customer, Pacific Ag Rentals of Salinas, Calif. Pacific Ag Rentals is acting as a reseller in California and Arizona.
SkyBitz has developed the Global Locating System platform to track powered and unpowered assets, including untethered trailers.
