SkyBitz Adds 10 Fleet Customers, Closes $20-million Funding
SkyBitz Inc., Dulles, Va., announced this week that 10 new trucking fleets have signed on for its Global Locating System technolog

, for a total of more than 90 customers who are using the patented tracking and information management service. SkyBitz also closed their series C funding at $20 million from investors in February.
Atlanta-based Uniglobe Courier Service Inc., a provider courier services, warehousing, logistics and truck expediting has outfitted its fleet with SkyBitz’s GLS tracking system. Uniglobe specializes in straight trucks with liftgates, tractor trailers with air rides and logistics posts, flatbeds, refrigerated trucks and oversize trucks.
National Distributors, an Indiana-based transportation and logistics provider, selected SkyBitz to provide trailer tracking. National specializes in dedicated fleet planning and operations, line-sequence warehousing, and international transportation through the U.S., Canada, and Mexico.
Other new customers include Arrow Freight Management Inc., a transportation, logistics, warehousing and supply chain management company; Coastal Carriers Inc., a Missouri based third-party logistics provider and refrigerated trucking company; Mid Cities Motor Freight Inc., a provider of trucking, intermodal and ocean and freight cargo services; Mister P Express Inc., an Indiana-based contract carrier; and LogiCorp Enterprises LLC, based in Hidalgo, Texas.
Rounding out the list of new customers are U.S. Inter-Mex Transportation Inc., specializing in inbound and outbound freight between Mexico, the U.S. and Canada; Star Leasing, an Ohio-based provider of semi-trailer equipment rental, leasing, maintenance and repairs; and Missouri-based APT Transportation, an LTL that provides expedited service in 48 states.
