The 500-vehicle fleet will be 100% equipped with GeoLogic’s MobileMax mobile communications and fleet management systems.
“The speed of the new GPRS network is really unbelievable,” said Dick Sitton, president of Sitton Motor Lines. “The rapid response time just brings MobileMax to a whole new level.”
GeoLogic recently added Cingular Wireless’ GPRS digital wireless data network as an additional communications option for users of its MobileMax system. This new communications choice will provide MobileMax users with expanded terrestrial wireless coverage and increased data capabilities such as wireless downloads of mobile software.
“We are quite satisfied with the response we’ve seen from our new GPRS offering,” said John Lewis, CEO for GeoLogic Solutions. “Considering the fact we’ve only been utilizing this new network option for about a month, the response has been overwhelming. The network is performing exactly as we expected, and we are pleased that carriers like Sitton are realizing the benefits of using it.”
