SiriCOMM Inc. has announced an agreement with TransCore to resell the company's InTouch (wireless Internet access) service and utilize the network for its new digital advertising application.
TransCore will market SiriCOMM's InTouch service through various mediums such as its DAT load board network located in more than 1,200 truckstops nationwide. TransCore will offer InTouch to its existing customer base of 15,000-plus users and in exchange will receive monthly commission fees. The InTouch service is currently available at more than 470 truckstops nationwide.
Additionally, SiriCOMM will provide TransCore with Internet access for its new digital signage service at truckstops where the two companies collocate, with the opportunity to expand as needed.
"This initial agreement is the tip of the iceberg for our organizations," said David Mendez, executive vice president of SiriCOMM Inc. "TransCore will always be a major player as we continue to identify and secure new applications, and use our expanding network to deliver them to the industry."
"Securing an affiliate partnership with SiriCOMM is the perfect fit for TransCore as we offer the largest network of load boards in the nation and SiriCOMM provides Internet access in many of the same sites, allowing us to expand our services," said Don Thornton, general manager of TransCore Freight Business Services.
