Show Trucks Draw Crowd At Boston Show
The Stars & Stripes truck beauty competition, held indoors last weekend at the North American Truck Show in Boston, drew gorgeous rigs and happy crowds
The Stars & Stripes truck beauty competition, held indoors last weekend at the North American Truck Show in Boston, drew gorgeous rigs and happy crowds.
The competition was limited to 30 trucks in honor of the Boston show’s 30th anniversary and was put on by Newport Communications.
Best of Show Combo went to CGF Trucking and Clarence Falk for a 1999 green Peterbilt 379 with 1999 Great Dane trailer, nicknamed “Flagship.” Long-time show winner Darian Stephens took home Best of Show Bobtail with his purple 1995 Freightliner Classic XL “Keystone JR.”
In the People’s Choice category, Larry Weaver and Rhett Butler Trucking took home the trophy in the Combo division for the white 2001 T2000 with 2001Utility Trailer, decorated with “Gone With the Wind” themed murals and nicknamed “Miss Scarlett.” The Bobtail winner was Donnie & Diana Harper of Reliable Carriers with their Omaha Orange 2002 Peterbilt, nicknamed “Enduring Freedom.”
Prizes were also handed out in various classes. First-place winner in each class was:
