The 25th Anniversary Shell Rotella SuperRigs truck beauty contest continues to add new events and benefits for truckers, including a $25,000 truck makeover for one lucky owner-operator, courtesy of the Chrome Shop Mafia.
From now through June 1, eligible owner-operators can go to www.rotella.com to submit a photo of their truck and an essay no longer than 700 words describing why they believe they should win the Chrome Shop Mafia truck makeover. Three finalists will be selected for the makeover.
In addition, owner-operators can enter the truck makeover contest in person at Shell Rotella SuperRigs in Joplin, Mo. on June 21-22. Three finalists from those that register onsite will be chosen as well. On June 23, SuperRigs attendees will be able to vote to select the winning truck from the six finalists. The winner will be awarded the $25,000 truck makeover by the Chrome Shop Mafia at the Shell Rotella SuperRigs awards ceremony. The winner need not be present to win.
The made-over truck will be revealed and on display in the Shell Lubricants booth at the Great American Truck Show in Dallas in late August.
Complete rules and information about the Shell Rotella SuperRigs Chrome Shop Mafia truck makeover are available at www.rotella.com. While at the web site, truckers can print out a card they can redeem at SuperRigs for a Shell Rotella SuperRigs gift bag that is valued at more than $50. The gift bags will be available while supplies last.
Former American Idol contestant Carmen Rasmussen will be in concert at SuperRigs on Friday night, June 22 at 7 p.m. Carmen placed sixth in the second season of American Idol. Her new album comes out at the end of April on Lofton Creek Records. Admission to the concert will be free.
