Shell Lubricants has announced the launch of the Shell Tech Tour, a multi-city, multimedia conference designed to update fleet customers on the latest lubricants and coolants technology.
The tour will cover the latest on the new API motor oil category, a step change in engine oil performance that will provide improvements in wear control, high-temperature oxidation control and soot handling. The new oils will be required for 2007 model year heavy-duty diesel engines.
“The Shell Tech Tour is one way Shell Lubricants takes a leadership role in the industry to educate our customers about important issues like the new 2007 motor oils that will impact their businesses,” says Dan Arcy, technical marketing manager for Shell Lubricants. “The tour will also be an opportunity for us to explain all our value-led services in an engaging and interactive format.”
The audience will be comprised of fleet employees at various levels including maintenance managers, mechanics, technicians, purchasing agents and MTC (Metropolitan Transportation Commission) managers. There also will be Shell distributors and sales representatives in attendance who will have the opportunity to participate in some of the presentations and interact with customers.
