SelecTrucks, a network of used truck retailers in the U.S. and Canada, is offering customers a $50 gift card to test drive a qualifying vehicle equipped with a Fuller UltraShift or AutoShift 10-speed automated transmissions.

SelecTrucks has also partnered with Eaton Corporation to provide a manufacturer-backed extended warranty on eligible vehicles. The Roadranger Extended Warranty will cover the mechanical and electrical components on qualifying vehicles with UltraShift or AutoShift automated transmissions for up to one year or 100,000 miles, following the retail sale.

In addition, Daimler Truck Financial will defer qualifying customers' first loan payment for up to 60 days.

"We wanted to give our customers the opportunity to experience the benefits of Eaton automated transmissions firsthand," said Gary Wingate, manager, marketing and customer support, Daimler Trucks Remarketing Corporation. "With their improved efficiency, performance and safety, automated transmissions offer driver control and comfort, and greater reliability."

Interested customers will be asked to complete a pre- and post-test drive survey to review their perceptions of the Fuller UltraShift or AutoShift 10-speed automated transmission. Following the test drive, the customer's gift card will be activated.

"Eaton's automated transmissions are based on industry-proven and preferred Fuller manual transmission technology," said Staci Kroon, senior vice president and general manager, Eaton Commercial Vehicle Transmission business. "We are partnering with SelecTrucks to enable second owners to experience the features and advantages of our automated transmissions."

The $50 test drive promotion will be available until Dec. 31, 2010.

Eligible vehicles include 2005-2007 Freightliner Century Class S/T models with various specs and mileage ranges.
