SEKO, a global provider of freight forwarding and logistics solutions, has released MySEKO Version 2, a Web-enabled shipment management tool that replaces its previous version. The new version features several tracking,
tracing and reporting improvements and a new user-friendly look and feel for easier navigation.
"With this newly enhanced customer fulfillment tool, SEKO has fully automated the process of shipment execution, as well as the tracking and invoicing of shipments," said Tom Madzy, SEKO's chief information officer.
Among the new online features:
• Issues Management Abilities: Customers can now create and manage dialog online, similar to an Instant Messenger (IM) service, with their SEKO representative to resolve any issues regarding their shipment status immediately. This could include such items as notification of a new customer contact, or alert SEKO to small discrepancies in the order.
• Enhanced User Settings: These provide customers with the ability to set up various automated shipment notifications, as well as new options for them to manage permissions and supply chain visibility.
• International Shipment Bookings: With MySEKO v2, customers can now book, schedule and track both international air and ocean shipments with ease. The new enhancements include a document loader that enables SEKO to upload domestic or international POD documents, while enabling customers to upload commercial invoices.
• New Reporting Services: SEKO's new customer fulfillment tools provide a variety of new reports for customers, including real-time update reports for shipments in progress on a 24/7 basis; North American and international invoice reports with shipment details; monthly business recaps that breakdown the shipment details and charge information by month going back one year; driver manifests for sign-off on any given day's shipments; and delivery performance reports with detailed ship dates.
"With easy navigation and 24/7 access to SEKO personnel, these new IT enhancement to the MySEKO v2 management tool will greatly facilitate our customers' visibility of its entire supply chain and help them to better manage their shipment process worldwide," said Madzy.
