SeaView Video Technology Inc., Tierra Verde, Fla., has entered into an agreement with SIA Truck Bodies Inc., Largo, Fla.
SIA will distribute SeaView's PowerLine Vision Systems technology as an option on Class 2-8 truck body models and vans. The video technology allows installation of a new system or retrofit of existing systems.
Thje PowerLine systems overcomes two obstacles to wide-scale adoption of vehicular video. First, using the existing DC wiring harness as the video pipeline eliminates the need for separate coaxial or multi-wire cables. An active 12-volt wire and a common ground in the rear of the truck is all that is needed.
Second, expensive and complex changes to the wiring harness are not necessary.
