Schwan's Sales Enterprises Inc., Marshall, Minn., an international distributor of frozen foods, has selected Intermec Technologies Corp. to provide mobile computers and portable printers.

This technology upgrade will enhance Schwan's Home Service route manager's ability to service millions of customers across the U.S.
Schwan's delivery personnel will use wireless Intermec 720 mobile computers and 781T portable printers to access customer data, record orders and provide customer receipts. Schwan's operates one of the world's largest privately owned truck fleets. Its route sales drivers log enough miles to circle the world 25 times each day.

The recently introduced Intermec 720 industrial mobile computer is a wireless handheld device built to withstand the harsh elements and temperature extremes Schwan's drivers endure.
