Schneider Logistics, Green Bay, Wis., has released a new version of its proprietary SUMIT suite of supply chain management software.
New features have increased the capabilities in both Supply Chain Integrator, a supply chain execution platform focused on order release management, and Rate Server, a stand-alone product that allows users to store and retrieve comprehensive rate contract terms.
Users of Supply Chain Integrator now have the ability to get detailed exception management, order release management and cross dock tracking capabilities. Supply Chain Integrator provides exceptions on part priority change, past due confirmation of release items, shipping quantity variance, item specification management, no shipment notice, and requested quantity change. Exception management increases a customer's ability to make key, timely management decisions about their supply chain.
Rate Server users will find increased calculation speed in an engine that is already one of the fastest in the business, as well as the ability to rate a movement over the Internet.
Other upgrades to Supply Chain Integrator include order release management, a powerful visibility utility that allows split release functionality, release confirmation, file load processing, addition of a new release item, and release item history.
Supply Chain Integrator features new developments in managing engineered static routes through cross docks with the capability to include receiving route information, view carrier manifests, unload and load equipment, capture actual delivered quantities and print various shipping documents.
Another feature, Advance Shipment Notification, is a tool used to send an electronic outbound shipment notice from Supply Chain Integrator to a customer and other necessary contacts such as a 3rd party cross-dock. This data includes actual dates, times and quantities used to plan inventory replenishment.
