The Specialized Carriers & Rigging Association will host the 25th anniversary of its Specialized Transportation Symposium March 7-9 in Kansas City, Mo


The event is expected to attract more than 350 specialized carriers, state and federal government officials, pilot car professionals, manufacturers and suppliers.
Annette Sandburg, CEO of TransSafe Consulting and former administrator of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration, will open the symposium by speaking about the complexities of regulatory compliance, how the Obama administration will affect attendees' companies and the impact of regulations on state transportation agencies.
One highlight of the symposium will be the Exhibit Center, which will be open for two days and will feature 30 leading companies that supply products and services to specialized carriers.
Early bird registration is available for the symposium, which will take place at The Westin at Crown Center, is available until Jan. 27.
The early bird prices are:
-$359 for members and $123 for member spouses
-$559 or nonmembers and $199 for nonmember spouses
The registration fee includes a buffet lunch, continental breakfasts, receptions and refreshment breaks.
