International Truck and Engine Corp. recognized Jack Saum Sr. of Beltway International Trucks, Baltimore, Md., as its 2004 Dealer of the Year
.
He was recognized at International's 25th annual Circle of Excellence black-tie awards ceremony, held at Blenheim Palace in Woodstock, England.
Saum is the sixth recipient of this honor, awarded to only one of the more than 300 International dealers in North America.
Circle of Excellence was established to honor dealerships that best exemplify commitment to the International Diamond Standards Program. The program measures dealer performance in terms of operating and financial standards, market representation, and most importantly, customer satisfaction.
“Our annual Dealer of the Year award recognizes a dealer principal who is a consistent Circle of Excellence honoree, and who achieves outstanding market performance by embracing the highest standards of customer service in every segment of the truck business,” said Dennis Wise, International’s vice president, dealer operations.
Saum attended Kenyon College and American University and worked for International Truck and Engine Corp. for eight years. He became dealer principal of Beltway International in 1999 and has been a Circle of Excellence winner every year since.
