Ryder System Inc. has announced a Tax Advantage Lease program, which provides qualified Ryder customers with the advantages of Ryder's full-service lease offering while allowing them to retain the tax benefits of ownership.
Ryder's Tax Advantage Lease program is designed to allow Ryder customers to take advantage of recent changes in tax laws as made by the Jobs and Growth Tax Relief Reconciliation Act of 2003.
The act provides qualified businesses a first-year "bonus" tax deduction equal to 50% of the cost of the qualified transportation property that is acquired after May 5, 2003 and before Jan. 1, 2005 and is placed in service before 2006.
Interested businesses should seek tax advice from a professional to determine if their company can benefit from this program.
