COMMERCE CITY, COLORADO -- Rush Truck Centers has officially opened its two newest locations in the Denver area. The Peterbilt/Isuzu shop is located at 6955 East 50th Ave. in Commerce City, on Denver's northeast side, directly across the street from the company's newest Ford Medium duty-truck center. Both facilities are brand new from the ground up and replace previous facilities located in the area. Both the new operations opened for business in April.
The 83,000-square-foot Peterbilt/Isuzu facility sits on 13.5 acres and features 69 service bays including dedicated CNG/LNG bays. There are 140 employees on staff, including 55 full-time technicians – but Rush has immediate openings for 10 more. RushCare 24/7 Mobile Service is also available at the new Denver location with 10 trucks in service now and more to come. The new Ford shop consists of 12,500 square feet sitting on 4 acres.
Rush Truck Centers first teamed with Ford in 2006, and the new Denver facility brings the total number of joint operations to seven, including Oklahoma City, Dallas, Orlando, Whittier, Cincinnati and Las Vegas.
Rush added Isuzu to its medium-duty lineup in 1986, and Isuzu trucks are now offered at 22 locations nationwide.

Rush Truck Centers has been operating in the Denver area since 1997, but Rusty Rush, chairman, president and CEO of Rush Enterprises, said the previous locations in city were less than ideal for the volume of business the company was doing there. He welcomed staff and suppliers to the new operation this week, saying the new facility was finally up to company standards.
"I'm very happy to finally be able to provide a facility that is up to the quality of work you all do around here," he said. "The important thing to remember is I can build all the buildings I want, but businesses are built with people. It's the people and the culture inside an organization that to me are most important, because they are what really create all the numbers. I know we will all do very well here.
"I was hatched on the shop floor and I've been blessed to be surrounded by some of the best people ever in this industry, between my employees and management team and of course, our customers," he added. "I'm thrilled with our new Denver shop."
Rush Truck Centers now operates 108 stores in 21 states, and is the largest Peterbilt dealer the U.S.
