Rush Enterprises Inc., which operates the largest network of heavy-duty and medium-duty truck dealerships in North America and a John Deere construction equipment dealership in Houston, Texas, has acquired Fouts Bros. UD-GMC Inc.,
a GMC, UD, Hino and Isuzu medium-duty truck dealer in Smyrna, Ga.
This acquisition marks Rush’s entrance into the state of Georgia. Rush will operate this dealership as a full-service Rush Medium Duty Truck Center offering medium-duty GMC, UD, Hino and Isuzu trucks, parts, and service. The purchase price for this acquisition was about $9.3 million, which was paid in cash.

Rush Enterprises includes a network of more than 40 Rush Truck Centers located in Alabama, Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Oklahoma, New Mexico, Tennessee and Texas. The company has developed its Rush Truck Centers and its Rush Equipment Center as “one-stop centers” where its customers can purchase new or used trucks or construction equipment, purchase insurance products, purchase aftermarket parts and accessories and have service performed by certified technicians.
